In case the individual on the right looks unfamiliar to you, that is one-term NJ CD-7 incumbent U.S. Representative and incredible shrinking Congressman, Tom Kean, Jr. You can be forgiven for your failure to recognize him: Junior has rarely visited the District to meet with constituents and has not conducted an in-person Town Hall in two years.
Conversely, Sue Altman has a long and distinguished track record of standing in front of New Jerseyans of all political affiliations and speaking articulately on issues of most importance to state residents, of taking hard questions from reporters and, most importantly, of speaking truth to power.
Kean has agreed to debate Sue, but refused the invite to an in-person event. The (as of now) only debate between the two will be streamed next Sunday, October 13 at 8:00pm.
The debate will be streamed online at the New Jersey Globe and On New Jersey websites, Facebook Live, X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube.
